Over 30 Nations Expected to Compete at African Wrestling Championships in Casablanca
Casablanca, Morocco – The 2025 African Wrestling Championships are set to witness one of the highest participation levels in history, with over 30 national federations confirming their attendance. Organized by the Royal Moroccan Wrestling Federation, the event will bring together Africa’s best wrestlers, coaches, and officials in a celebration of strength and skill.
Alongside the competitions, the UWW Africa General Assembly will also take place, allowing key stakeholders to discuss the future of wrestling on the continent. The assembly will address development programs, upcoming tournaments, and strategies to enhance Africa’s presence in global wrestling.
“Morocco is honored to welcome the African wrestling family,” said Fouad Meskout, president of the organizing committee. “This event is not just about competition; it’s about fostering unity, sportsmanship, and progress in African wrestling.”
